A bunch of celeb divorce homes are listing and selling

Lily Allen and David Harbour aren’t the only celeb homeowners moving to Splitsville.
The past year’s celeb divorces have led to some seriously buzzy listings and recent sales — giving a strong impression that the market is quite hot for them.

Allen’s release of her newest album “West End Girl,” has been dubbed a post-divorce “revenge” album, following reports of her split from “Stranger Things” actor David Harbour late last year. Lyrics throughout the album allude to an unnamed partner’s infidelity, sparing very few details. Allen’s title song, “West End Girl,” recalls her feeling pressured to buy a brownstone she couldn’t afford.
That apparently doomed marital home, it appears, is up for sale.
Allen and Harbour’s shared townhouse in Carroll Gardens, Brooklyn listed over the weekend for nearly $8 million, The Post previously reported. The pair purchased the home for $3.35 million in early 2021.
The lyrics in “West End Girl” point strongly to the sprawling pad.
“Now I’m looking at houses with four or five floors / And you’ve found us a brownstone, said ‘You want it? It’s yours,”’ Allen sings.
She goes on: “So we went ahead and we bought it / Found ourselves a good mortgage / Billy Cotton got sorted / All the furniture ordered / I could never afford this / You were pushing it forward / Made me feel a bit awkward / Made me feel a bit awkward.”
If the home sells at ask, the divorced pair will more than double their investment.
Plenty of other celebrity bust-ups have ended in successful home sales over the past year.
Bennifer’s megamansion is still on the rocks
Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck’s dividing of the assets returned to headlines this September after their megamansion hit the market again, this time for $52 million.
Lopez and Affleck’s whirlwind love affair and subsequent marriage came to an end when the two filed for divorce late last year — but only after they’d spent nearly $61 million on a gigantic Beverly Hills estate.
The 12-bedroom abode’s $52 million listing sets the former couple up for a $9 million loss. It seems only fitting their shared megamansion would have an on-again, off-again relationship with the market.
Lopez has reportedly chosen to reside at the roughly 38,000-square-foot manse in the meantime, hosting a gala there as recently as last month.
The most recent sale is a staggering $16 million discount from its original July 2024 listing for $68 million. Hopefully the house and its potential buyers can finally resolve their differences.
Love it or list it
Another recently split Hollywood pair, Lori Loughlin and Mossimo Giannuli, enjoyed a quick sale of their home last week, according to People.
The longtime couple announced their separation earlier this month. Their 11,800-square-foot mansion in the Hidden Hills area of Los Angeles listed for $16.5 million in February, and secured a roughly $15 million sale within less than a year.
In June, actress Jessica Alba found a buyer for the Beverly Hills mansion she shared with Cash Warren, just two months after listing it amid their split.
The two filed for divorce in February after nearly 17 years of marriage, citing “irreconcilable differences.”
Alba and Warren, who share three children, snagged the 1.85-acre property for 2017 for $10 million, according to TMZ. They undertook extensive renovations on the roughly 9,000-square-foot home, according to listing materials.
Alba and her estranged husband asked $18.99 million in the sale, and ultimately earned $18.2 million, according to Zillow records.
Ex-lovers make excellent brokers
Jesse Lally and Michelle Saniei of Bravo’s “The Valley” teamed up amid their divorce to sell their multi-million dollar home in Los Angeles, according to reports. Lally and Saniei, both luxury real estate agents by trade, announced the end of their five-year marriage shortly after the show’s first season debuted in 2024.
The drama-filled spinoff of “Vanderpump Rules” chronicled Lally and Saniei’s tumultuous relationship, but that didn’t get in the way of the two sealing the deal on their shared home. The broker pair co-listed the Studio City property in February for $4.2 million.
Lally told US Weekly in May that the pair were “still professionals.”
“Navigating a high-end listing while navigating a divorce might sound challenging,” Lally told the outlet. “But we worked together as a team, stayed focused on the sale and got a great price for our client.”
The stylish, mid-century home sold in April for nearly $3.7 million, according to Zillow.
Some celeb couples aren’t ready to let go
The enviable homes of two recent A-list divorces are off the market and it isn’t clear if, or when, they’ll list.
Hugh Jackman and Deborra-Lee Furness chose to split their $24 million Manhattan penthouse in May, according property records.
The former couple purchased their Chelsea penthouse in 2022 for $22 million, according to property records. Jackman and Furness announced their separation roughly a year after the eye-popping purchase, and after 27 years of marriage.
Their three-bedroom abode traded to an LLC tied to Furness and the couple’s financial advisor, The Post reported — just two days after she formally filed for divorce.
Eager eyes remain on the impressive property portfolio shared by Nicole Kidman and Keith Urban. The A-list actress filed for divorce from Urban in September, leaving the family’s $36 million collection of homes in question.
Their seven-bedroom Nashville compound, purchased in 2008 for $3.47 million, reportedly served as the couple’s primary residence throughout their marriage. Kidman intends to stay at the mansion until her children go to college, sources told The Post, but the fate of the couple’s homes across California, New York City, Australia and Europe remain to be seen.
