The talent manager died at age 48 in August after a battle with melanoma. McEntire, 70, was married to Brandon’s dad, Narvel Blackstock, from 1989 to 2015.

On Monday’s episode, the actress, who serves as a coach, mentioned her stepson after her artist Aubrey Nicole sang Martina McBride’s “I’m Gonna Love You Through It.”

The tune is written about a couple facing a cancer diagnosis. Nicole sang the rendition in honor of her father who is in remission.

Coach Snoop Dogg, 54, said that while he was moved by her performance, he wasn’t familiar with the track.

McEntire responded, “I do know this song. Martina’s — I’ll need it, thank you, Snoop,” as Snoop gave her a tissue.

“Martina’s a good friend of mine. I lost my oldest son because he did not win with cancer,” she continued on the NBC singing competition.  “That was a real reminder that life goes on, and we sing songs about it so we can remember the ones around us that we love so much, that we lean on at times like this. You did a great job.”

Earlier this month, McEntire called her and Brandon’s relationship “precious.”

“I absolutely loved that child. He came into my life, I guess he was 4 years old. Then when Narvel and I got married, he was 13, 14,” the “Reba” alum reflected to People.

“Along with his mom and dad, I helped raise him, along with [stepkids] Shawna and Chassidy. They were my kids,” McEntire stated.

The country superstar said that Brandon was “so funny” and loved to “pull pranks” at home.

“He loved to scare people,” recalled McEntire. “We’d be at the office there at Starstruck [which was owned by Narvel] in Nashville and I’d be sitting at my desk and I’d see Penny Chubb [a Starstruck Entertainment employee] walk by going to the lady’s room, and then here comes Brandon. He’d hide behind the pillar.”

“Brandon is sorely missed,” the Happy’s Place” star elaborated, “truly missed with his mischievousness and his love of life. He brought joy to everybody that met him, and we’ll never forget him.”

The late talent manager privately battled skin cancer, with his family announcing his death on August 7.

“It is with great sadness that we share the news that Brandon Blackstock has passed away. Brandon bravely battled cancer for more than three years,” they said in a statement obtained by The Post.

“He passed away peacefully and was surrounded by family. We thank you for your thoughts and prayers and ask everyone to respect the family’s privacy during this very difficult time,” his family concluded.

Brandon was married to Kelly Clarkson from 2013 until their separation in 2020. They shared two children: daughter River, 11, and son Remy, 9.

The Grammy winner, 43, was the one to file for divorce. The exes went through a nasty legal battle, which included fighting over custody of the kids and their Montana ranch. Brandon and Clarkson reached a settlement in 2022.

Before Clarkson, Brandon was married to Melissa Ashworth from 2001 to 2012. The pair had two kids: daughter Savannah, who’s in her 20s, and son Seth, 18.

The singer and her ex first met at a rehearsal for the Academy of Country Music Awards in May 2006 when his dad was her manager and he was married to Ashworth.

The duo then reconnected years later at the Super Bowl.

After their wedding, Brandon became Clarkson’s manager. He also managed her former “Voice” co-star Blake Shelton’s career until his divorce from the star.

“I wouldn’t have hired Brandon to be my manager if I didn’t see first-hand how great he is at that and how much he cares about Blake,” Clarkson told Marie Claire in 2018. “And the way that [Blake’s] career has blown up, I would have hired Brandon regardless. He’s really talented at what he does and his mind really does work in a completely different way.”
