Kim Kardashian opened up about her law school journey—and playing a divorce attorney in Ryan Murphy‘s new series All’s Fair—on this morning’s episode of The View.

Starring Kim, Niecy Nash, Glenn Close, Teyana Taylor, Naomi Watts, and Sarah Paulson, All’s Fair follows a divorce attorney and her all-female law firm. “I’m very familiar with Laura Wasser,” she said. “I don’t know if you guys are, but she’s a fierce family law attorney. She’s done, like, two of my divorces. I really channeled her badass energy.”

Kim has been divorced three times. The SKIMs founder was married to music producer Damon Thomas from 2000 to 2004, Kris Humphries for 72 days in 2011, and Kanye West from 2014 to 2022.

In the final years of her marriage to West—with whom she shares four children—Kim began a four-year law apprenticeship, which she graduated from earlier this year.

“I still have to pass the bar [exam], but we’ll find out in a week. Pray for me,” she told the co-hosts on The View.

According to the reality star, she felt her late father Robert Kardashian’s energy “every step of the way.” Before his passing in 2003, Robert was a famed attorney largely known for representing O.J. Simpson in his murder trial.

“The night before I took the bar, my mom came in my room and she gave me my dad’s legal briefcase with his initials that were engraved in it, that he used, and his stationary,” Kim said. “She had stationary with the same font and the same everything made for me. We said a prayer, we did our thing.”

Nash, who was also seated at the Hot Topics table, revealed that everyone on-set would pull out “cue cards” and help Kim study for the bar exam when they were in between scenes.

“It was fun playing the role,” Kim said. “The words that I would say are legal terms that I know and that I’ve come to learn in my studies, so it’s fun saying things and using dialogue that you just know what you’re talking about.”

The View airs on weekdays at 11/10c on ABC.
