A source told Page Six that Robach’s pals don’t think it’s the best idea for them to walk down the aisle.
“I don’t know many people who like T.J. She still has her besties and anyone who truly cares wants her [to be] happy,” the source said.
Conversations behind closed doors, however, “aren’t of excitement,” they added of her circle.
This isn’t the first time that friends have sounded alarm on the couple’s relationship. In 2023, Robach’s buddies were worried that she gave up her lucrative TV job for the relationship.
A source told us at the time that Robach was “painting a picture of how happy in love they are.”
Another insider described them as “best friends” who love each other at the time. It seems that the pair, who were at the center of one of ABC News’ biggest scandals in recent history, is having the last laugh at their naysayers.
On Oct. 14, they revealed on their “Amy & TJ” podcast, that “we’ve been engaged for just about a month now,” Robach said.
“We’re actually surprised that we’re just now talking about it. We wanted to let you all know before anybody else was able to,” Holmes said.
“We’ve learned that lesson in the past about our relationship that we want to be the first to talk about it,” he added.
The couple went on to explain how they’ve been in front of “crowds of tens of thousands” with Robach “dangling a ring in everybody’s face every chance you could and nobody said a word,” Holmes said.
Robach confirmed she’d even been at football games proudly wearing her ring, anticipating people noticing.
“It never happened… I think a lot of people who are close to us, who love us and know us, understand what we’ve been through and so they don’t want to pry,” she said.
The couple infamously shook up ABC News when it was revealed they were in a relationship.
ABC News bosses axed them from the network and network insiders told us former colleagues and execs are feeling their absence.
A rep for the couple did not comment.
