The Bill Belichick trainwreck just keeps getting worse, and we all know who’s pulling the levers

The more game film we see of Bill Belichick and his girlfriend Jordon Hudson, the more he looks like an lovesick old fool.

Belichick won six Super Bowl rings in New England with one mandate: no distractions. He is now a man saddled with them.

His first year as head coach at the University of North Carolina has been, to be charitable, chaotic. The team has only two wins and three blowout losses, the locker room is reportedly divided, and his girlfriend is regularly swanning around the sidelines.

A few days ago, he said rumors that he was looking for a buyout were “categorically false.”

And the latest bit of turbulence comes from journalist Pablo Torre, who for months, has been doing yeoman’s work, meticulously investigating their relationship — and the ensuing waves it’s caused in Belichick’s orbit.

On Friday morning’s episode of “Pablo Torre Finds Out,” he dropped another bombshell: behind the scenes footage of Hudson and Belichick on the set of his former NFL Films Studios show “Coach,” speaking disparagingly of the staffers.

It offered an unvarnished peek into the dynamic between the 73-year-old grumpy gridiron genius and the 24-year-old former college cheerleader he has empowered to run his personal and professional life.

In October of 2024, Hudson visited the set of his show and started nitpicking the graphics which, admittedly, weren’t spectacular.

As Torre pointed out, this happened back in 2024 when staffers just assumed she was his girlfriend. Nobody knew that she was the COO and supreme leader of Belichick Productions.

With an imperious air, she then led a tutorial on Adobe Photoshop as everyone grew visibly uncomfortable.

“If somebody puts on a clock, I could create this in five minutes. Will you give me two grand to do that?” She asks a staffer.

“We could use Adobe Photoshop. This is something I’ve done before,” she then said, noting she had used it to build her boyfriend’s personal website.

Though it was obvious, she also added, “I have zero real graphics experience.”

You could almost hear the team’s inner monologue: “Graphics? We talking about graphics!”

The couple then decamped to a corner to s—t talk the staff, like two middle school girls deciding which of their friends they were going to exclude at lunch that day. And it was all caught on a mic.

“I don’t know how they have four full-time graphics people,” Hudson said.

“They can’t do s—t,” Belichick responded.

“Right,” echoed his gal pal.

Quite frankly, it was awkward to watch.

The leaks to Torre are obviously coming from inside the house. They’re a smoke signal, an SOS or an SOB (Save Our Bill) from someone close to him.

Or someone wanting to reveal how much havoc Hudson — an invited guest — has unleashed in the house of Belichick.

And that planned Hulu series to document his first season? That was recently scrapped.

A source told People “Jordan, Bill and UNC all agreed” their visions weren’t aligned because it was focusing too much on his home life. Notice whose name was put first by the source? We see who is driving this train.

When it was revealed the pair were dating back in 2024, eyebrows were raised over their 49-year age difference and Belichick posing for cheesy couple Instagram photos like him as a horny fisherman catching her dressed as a mermaid. But overall, he seemed happy, so it wasn’t a big deal.

By then in April, Belichick was sitting down with CBS Sunday Morning for a breezy segment on his new book, and Hudson interrupted, scolding Tony Dokoupil from the sideline after he asked how the pair met.

“We’re not talking about this” she said, reportedly one of many interruptions, leading Dokoupil to call her a “constant presence.”

The incident was far more revealing than any answer Belichick could have given.

There’s no one to blame but Belichick for placing his legacy in the hands of an inexperienced but ambitious young woman he likes to see naked.

The CBS interview was a self-inflicted scandal that has only invited more scrutiny.

And as the Belichick experiment at UNC starts to circle the drain, many are eager to conduct the autopsy in real time.

However, all is not lost for the NFL legend. He has one big trophy that had previously eluded him: Last month, he and Hudson graced the cover of US Weekly, surely fulfilling a lifelong dream for the hardened football guy.
