“She was one of the kindest, funniest and down-to-earth people I have ever met in my life,” Goldstein wrote Saturday, after hearing the sad news about Keaton’s passing.

“Everyone was very much aware that she was in the room … she was even more endearing in person than on screen which doesn’t even seem possible.”

Goldstein concluded his tribute by thanking Keaton “for bringing joy” into so many people’s homes — and “into a spin studio on Santa Monica blvd in West Hollywood!”

“My heart goes out right now to her family and friends,” he added. “We all lost a living legend today.”

The sweet note was accompanied by a photo of Keaton and Goldstein, broadly smiling, with the actress playfully pulling on his nose and making bunny ears behind his head.

Keaton — who was renowned for her distinctive fashion sense, which included oversized crosses, an abundance of hats and large belts — died Saturday at the age of 79.

A cause of death has not been disclosed, but a close friend, who reportedly saw her just two weeks ago, was shocked by Keaton’s frail appearance.

“I was kind of stunned by how much weight she’d lost,” songwriter Carole Bayer Sager told People.

“I just loved her. She was so special, she just lit up a room with her energy. She was happy and upbeat and taking photographs of everything she saw. She was completely creative; she never stopped creating.”
