“I’m just throwing it out there,” she continued. “In case there’s any confusion, that’s what we’re doing around here.”

“That’s all I’m doing here. Just making melodies.”

Wendy and her husband, Edward “Eddie” Osefo, were arrested for fraud on Thursday, Page Six confirmed. They were released Friday after placing a $50,000 bond each.

Wendy faces a total of 16 charges, including seven for felony false/misleading info fraud in excess of $300, eight for misdemeanor on-false/mislead info fraud in excess of $300 and a misdemeanor charge of a false statement to an officer, per the Carroll County Sheriff’s Office public information officer.

The charges stem from a burglary the couple reported in April 2024, in which Wendy, 41, claimed several of her designer bags and jewelry were stolen while they were on vacation in Jamaica. Eddie, meanwhile, faces a total of 18 charges, including nine for felony false/misleading info fraud in excess of $300, eight for misdemeanor on-false/mislead info fraud in excess of $300 and a misdemeanor charge for allegedly making a false statement to an officer.

The charges stem from a burglary the couple reported in April 2024, in which Wendy, 41, claimed several of her designer bags and jewelry were stolen while they were on vacation in Jamaica.

But authorities cast doubt on the validity of the theft and accused the couple of lying in order to obtain insurance money in docs obtained by Us Weekly.

The couple’s ADT home security system and Ring camera didn’t catch any suspicious activity, despite recording package deliveries, the docs state.

Investigators also claim Eddie gave statements to two separate insurance companies about the “stolen” items without letting the other know.

More allegations include Wendy being seen on social media wearing a ring she had claimed was stolen, as investigators discovered at the same time that the Osefos were “burdened by substantial debt.”

Their investigation also determined that numerous items the couple claimed were stolen had been returned to a store, “where a full refund was provided prior to the alleged burglary.”

A rep for the Osefos told Page Six Friday that the couple was back home with their family and “in good spirits.”

“They are grateful for the outpouring of concern and support from friends, fans, and colleagues,” the rep shared. “The Osefos, alongside their legal team, look forward to their day in court. At this time, they respectfully ask for privacy as they focus on their family and the legal process ahead.”
