Police are saying the couple reported a burglary last April, claiming their bedroom was ransacked after they returned home from a trip to Jamaica. They said several designer bags and jewelry had been stolen, but Wendy was later caught wearing one of the “stolen” diamond rings in a social media post, per TMZ. An investigation found that they had allegedly purchased the items they claimed were stolen then returned them to the store for a “full refund” prior to the alleged burglary. They also reportedly made a $450,000 personal property loss claim to an insurance company.
Decider has reached out to Wendy’s rep for comment, but did not hear back by the time of publication.
The couple, who have been married since 2011 and share three children, announced their plans to get into the cannabis business in a Season 8 episode of The Real Housewives of Potomac. In the Season 10 premiere of the hit Bravo show, Wendy gushed over how financially successful their business, Happy Eddie, was becoming.
“I’m really proud of Eddie. Happy Eddie is taking off, especially now that it’s in three different states,” she said, before adding, “Happy Eddie is, you know, financially successful. Cha-ching!”
The legal drama is never-ending in the Real Housewives universe. Earlier this year, Wendy’s RHOP co-star Karen Huger was sentenced to one year in prison following her 2024 DUI arrest. While Huger maintained her innocence throughout RHOP Season 9, police camera footage that was released amid her trial showed her visibly intoxicated on the night of her arrest, which came after she crashed her car into a street sign.
Huger began her sentence in February 2025, but was released from prison in September 2025 after only six months behind bars. Bravo cameras were, of course, there to capture the moment she walked out of prison. Therefore, we can’t help but wonder: will they pick back up to document this turbulent time in Wendy’s life? Only time will tell.
In the meantime, you can watch new episodes of The Real Housewives of Potomac every Sunday at 8 p.m. ET/PT on Bravo.
