Del Rio starred on the show as a first-year associate who was close friends with Lewis’ character. The pair worked together at Jacobson Moore alongside Kathy Bates‘ Madeline “Matty” Matlock.

Lewis has since spoken out since the incident. However, it appears that Del Rio’s wife, Katherine Del Rio, is openly taking shots at the actress on social media.

Lewis shared a photo of herself and her mother on her Instagram Story with a caption thanking her followers for their support.

“Mom is here. We’re moving forward in love and strength. I’m in good hands,” she wrote. “Thank you to everybody for any kind of support and care. Truly, we’re moving forward in strength. Key word, strength. Let that be the takeaway.”

US Weekly reported that Katherine shared a close-up photo of Lewis to her social media, writing, “This is the most disturbing human being I have ever met.”

The photo was later deleted. However, Katherine again took to social media to share a photo of herself and her mother, seemingly mocking Lewis’ post.

“Mom is here. We’re moving forward in love and strength after what Leah did to our family. Thank you all for the love and support!” Katherine wrote.

Matlock Season 2 is set to premiere Oct. 12. Production on the first half of Season 2 is set to wrap soon, after which the crew will go on hiatus before returning after Thanksgiving.

David’s character will likely be written off the show this season to account for his departure.

Matlock is streaming on Paramount+.
