‘What the hell is going on?’

MAGA-loving Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene got some rare praise from the progressive hosts of ABC’s “The View” on Thursday.

They extolled the Georgia congresswoman, long one of the left’s favorite targets, for her calls to extend Obamacare subsidies amid the government shutdown.

“She seems to be the only one responding to her constituents, because her constituents are saying, ‘Excuse me, we are being affected by what’s happening here.’” the host said of the pol.

“And, you know, she’s in not a rich district. She’s in a poor district, and her people said, ‘This is affecting us. Either you get us some help, or we’re going to put you out. This is your job.’”

She and the other hosts seemed to surprise themselves.

Greene “is the voice of reason here. What the hell is going on?” Goldberg remarked.

Joy Behar jumped in, saying the congresswoman “also has a couple of kids who need – the insurance premiums are going up, so it’s very personal to her. You know, I’ll take it.”

Greene — a diehard supporter of President Trump — has unexpectedly sided with Democrats on the main sticking point during the fight over the current government shutdown. She agrees with their calls to extend enhanced tax credits for people to buy health insurance through Obamacare.

In a post on X on Monday, Greene said she is “not a fan” of the program, adding that she was not in Congress when the 44th president’s signature legislation became law in 2010.

“But I’m going to go against everyone on this issue because when the tax credits expire this year my own adult children’s insurance premiums for 2026 are going to DOUBLE, along with all the wonderful families and hard-working people in my district,” she wrote.

On “The View” on Thursday, Alyssa Farah Griffin joked, “It’s a dark day when Marjorie Taylor Greene is the voice of reason.”

“But you know what they say about a blind squirrel, so I completely agree with her,” she continued.

After Goldberg admitted she’d never heard the saying, Griffin explained: “A blind squirrel finds a nut every now and then.”

Greene also got an unusual shoutout on CNN’s “The Situation Room” on Thursday.

Wolf Blitzer gushed over the right-wing politician, calling her a “courageous politician” and “loving mother.” CNN

She went on the show to discuss her fight for the release of files on Jeffrey Epstein, the notorious sex offender who killed himself in a New York prison cell in 2019.

“This involves women who were raped. Women at 14 years old — 14 years old — who were raped and they say there’s more people involved. I don’t know how anyone in their good conscience can be against letting that information come out,” Greene told Blitzer and co-host Pamela Brown.

She added that she has received “a tremendous amount of death threats” and that the menacing messages increase “when you speak about certain issues.”

“When I say I am seriously concerned for my life and I say if something ever happens to me — I really mean it,” Greene said.

She’d recently written on social media, “if something happens to me … find out which foreign government or powerful people would take heinous actions to stop the information from coming out.”

CNN’s Wolf Blitzer fawned over Greene on his show.

“You’re a courageous politician but, more importantly, a loving mother,” he said. “Thanks very much for coming in. We hope you’ll come back here to ‘The Situation Room.’”
