Demi Lovato’s ex Max Ehrich arrested for domestic violence
Demi Lovato’s ex-fiancé, actor Max Ehrich, has reportedly been arrested in Florida after an alleged domestic violence incident.
Law enforcement sources told TMZ Wednesday that Ehrich — who was briefly engaged to the “Cool For the Summer” songstress in 2020 — was taken into custody Tuesday night for battery on a person 65 or older.

According to the outlet, the allegations involve a family member. A source divulged to TMZ that the “Young and the Restless” alum was released from jail on Wednesday after posting $1,000 bond.
Per the outlet, the actor went live via social media multiple times on Tuesday with his mother in the room, though it’s unclear who was involved in the alleged incident.
Ehrich’s social media account included a spate of screenshots shared Tuesday from what appeared to be an iPhone notes app with short messages. Multiple uploads asserted that Ehrich is “single,” while another read, “My heart is broken :(”
A third read, “Being a method actor is awesome, but a lil trippy lol. Slept in today and finally feel I am mostly out of character from the movie I just wrapped.” Ehrich’s IMDb account lists his most recent movie — which is still in post-production — as “Reckless.”
A legal rep for Ehrich did not immediately return Page Six’s request for comment on Wednesday evening, and attempts to reach Ehrich directly for comment were unsuccessful.
Ehrich and Lovato, 33, first sparked dating rumors in the spring of 2020 following a series of flirty Instagram exchanges. In March 2020, Us Weekly reported the pair were officially an item.
The former couple announced their engagement via social media in July 2020, with the hitmaker gushing that she was “honored” to accept his proposal.
“I love you forever my baby. My partner,” she partially captioned photos from their beachside engagement. “Here’s to our future!!!”
Ehrich uploaded his own photos from the engagement. “You are every love song, every film, every lyric, every poem, everything I could ever dream of and then some in a partner in life,” he wrote in a since-deleted post.
In September 2020, a source confirmed to Page Six that the pair had broken off their engagement. Following the split, Ehrich took to Instagram Stories with a perplexing set of slides captured by Twitter account #onlyforeverddl.
According to since-deleted screengrabs, Ehrich wrote notes reading, “#FreeDemi,” followed by “#FreeDemetria,” and a third note reading, “#FreeDemetria from people that have abused her.”
The “Heart Attack” songstress moved on and ultimately tied the knot with musician Jutes in a romantic California wedding ceremony in May.
