The 63-year-old from Villa Park, California stepped out of the limo wearing a bedazzled FREEMAN jacket and tossed Mel a baseball, smoothly saying, “They told me you’re a good catch…hopefully we can both hit it out of the park.”

Turns out, Carol isn’t just a big baseball fan! She’s also the family manager and aunt of LA Dodgers player Freddie Freeman, who Mel admittedly loves! On top of their shared love of sports, Mel and Carol were also both married before, and both live in Orange County. In other words, they sound like a match made in Bachelor Nation heaven!

“After raising her three daughters, the pride and joys of her life, she went back to work becoming the full-time manager for her pro-athlete nephew, Los Angeles Dodgers first baseman Freddie Freeman,” the bio continues. “Carol also returned to college recently and is thriving as a later-in-life student. She jokes, ‘I now can get student and senior discounts!’ Carol has a life full of love and hard work, but she’s missing one important piece — a man by her side. For Carol, this journey is all about finding her forever, so here’s to hoping she can find that meaningful connection with Mel.”

In Episode 3, Carol revealed that she’s only had one boyfriend, one husband, and went on two dates in five years, so she’s having trouble opening herself up to Mel. After taking Golden Bachelor alum Susan Noles’ advice, however, it seems she may be ready to put herself out there a bit more. And after her comedy routine during Episode 2’s group date roast, we know Carol is capable of having fun and letting loose.
