Mom allegedly shot 4 of her kids, said they ‘were with the devil’

A crazed mom who once took her paternity battle to court TV has now been accused of shooting four of her kids, killing two of them — telling cops they were “with the devil,” according to court documents.

Oninda Romelus — who once appeared on “Lauren Lake’s Paternity Court” — called 911 from a Houston-area gas station early Saturday — with police arriving to find the four children shot inside of her car, according to court documents obtained by KHOU.

Two of her children — her 13-year-old son, O’Karreo Covington, and 3-year-old daughter, Amourra Chapell — were declared dead at the scene.

The other two — Kylee Romelus, 8, and Traviel Downer, 9 —  were rushed by helicopter to a Houston hospital where they are recovering, according to the Brazoria County Sheriff’s Office.

Romelus, 31, was taken into custody and was paranoid and incoherent when quizzed by investigators, the documents said.

She said she called 911 because “instead of them doing it to me, I’m gonna do it to them,” according to court documents.

When asked what she meant, Romelus replied, “Kill them all.”

She also told police her children were “dead to her” and “with the devil” — bizarrely adding  “cause you can’t take me without me taking you.”

The mom was held on a $14 million bond on two charges of murder and two charges of aggravated assault.

Romelus had appeared on the paternity court TV show nearly 12 years ago seeking to identify who her oldest child’s father was — but neither of the men on the episode proved to be a match.

Romelus 31, appeared paranoid and did not make sense when she was interviewed by police.

That 17-year-old son was not with her at the time of the shooting, and wasn’t found during a search of his mom’s home.

However, while searching, cops found possible evidence of fraud, Click2Houston reported. They returned later with a warrant and seized 33 social security cards, 48 identification cards and 16 credit cards, along with other items — some with Romelus’ face or address but with different names, Click2Houston reported.
