He was initially reported missing over the weekend near the summit of Mera Peak, a 21,250-foot mountain in Nepal.
His death was confirmed by the Nepal Mountaineering Association on Tuesday.
It comes as hundreds of climbers remain trapped on Mount Everest following extreme weather.
On Sunday, nearly 1,000 hikers were left stranded on the peak after a huge blizzard ravaged the range’s eastern slope over the weekend, according to Chinese state media.
The heavy snowfall began on Friday evening before intensifying, catching mountain guides off guard.
One experienced Himalayan trekker said he had “never experienced weather like this,” in an interview with BBC News after he was rescued.
Several people in his group of 20 showed signs of hypothermia, Dong Shuchang told the British outlet.
The snow was almost three feet deep when the group started their retreat on Sunday, according to Chen Geshuang, another member of the climbing party.
“All of us are experienced hikers, but this blizzard was still extremely difficult to deal with. I was so lucky to get out,” she said.
A total of 580 of the trapped hikers have since been guided to safety in Tibet, according to Chinese media.
The final hikers have been reached by rescue workers and have made it to a rendezvous point with emergency supplies, according to Chinese reports.
The blizzard struck during China’s eight-day Golden Week holiday, a peak season for Chinese tourism.
In a separate mountainous region of western China, a hiker died of hypothermia and altitude sickness, while 137 had to be rescued following extreme weather in Qinghai province, Chinese state outlet CCTV reported.
In neighboring Nepal, more than 50 people have died after torrential rains triggered severe flooding and landslides.
