Jennifer Lopez, Ben Affleck reunite at Kiss of the Spider Woman’ premiere

It’s a Bennifer reunion.

Ben Affleck and Jennifer Lopez reunited at the red carpet premiere of their new film, “The Kiss of the Spider Woman,” in New York City on Monday night.

The exes smiled and took pictures together at the event, which marked their first public appearance together since they finalized their divorce in January.

At one point, Affleck, 53, leaned in to talk in Lopez’s ear during a cozy moment on the carpet.

Affleck, who produced the musical film via his Artists Equity company, wore a navy blue suit to the event.

Lopez, 56, who stars in the movie and is also an executive producer, rocked a brown floral dress with a black overlay that channeled a spider. The singer brought her 17-year-old twins Max and Emme, who she shares with ex-husband Marc Anthony, to the premiere.

During an interview with Entertainment Tonight on the red carpet, Affleck gushed that his ex-wife is “fabulous” in the film.

The “Argo” director added to Access Hollywood, “This is a role that Jennifer is so spectacular in and it’s exactly the kind of role she’s dreamed of playing her whole career. It’s hard to imagine she hasn’t had some opportunities, but that’s actually true, and she seized this thing with both hands and did something spectacular and beautiful.”

Affleck also said it was “a no brainer” to cast Lopez as the titular character in “Kiss of the Spider Woman.”

“I knew that Jennifer was dying to play a part like this her whole life. I knew she’d be spectacular,” he shared. “Bill Condon understands how to do this as well as anyone.”

Before the screening, Lopez introduced the movie and gave Affleck a shoutout. “Thank you so much, thank you everybody for being here tonight. Thank you, Ben, this movie wouldn’t have been made without Ben and without Artist Equity,” she said.

Affleck, for his part, praised Lopez and told her she’s “incredible.”

Lopez filed for divorce from Affleck in Aug. 2024 after two years of marriage.

During a recent interview on “CBS Sunday Morning,” the “Hustlers” actress called the divorce “the best thing that ever happened to me.”

“It helped me grow in a way that I needed to grow. Become more self-aware,” she explained. “I’m a different person now than I was last year, I think.”

Lopez also recognized that her new movie “wouldn’t have been made” without Affleck and Artists Equity.

“And I will always give him that credit,” she said. ““They financed it. I told him this was the role I was born to play and I wanted to do it, and he was like, ‘Okay.’ And he helped make it happen.”

In March, Affleck told GQ he has “nothing but respect” for Lopez, and insisted that the end of their marriage contained “no scandal, no soap opera [and] no intrigue.”

“Kiss of the Spider Woman” comes out in theaters Friday.
