Woman, 60, killed after e-bike strikes her near Brooklyn Navy Yard: NYPD


A 60-year-old woman was killed when two men sharing an e-bike violently plowed into her while trying to cross a Brooklyn block Monday morning, according to police and law enforcement sources.

The woman just hopped off the B57 bus and was attempting to walk north across the bike lane at Flushing Avenue and North Elliot Place near the Brooklyn Navy Yard when the e-bike hit her around 7:20 a.m., sources said.

She was rushed to Brooklyn Methodist Hospital, where she died, police said.

A 39-year-old man operating the two-wheeler and his 41-year-old male passenger were taken to the same hospital in stable condition, authorities said.

The driver has not been arrested, according to police.

The identity of the woman hasn’t been released yet.
