Jena Sims reveals heartbreaking pregnancy loss at 16 weeks
A “devastated” Jena Sims revealed Monday that she and her husband, five-time major champion golfer Brooks Koepka, are grappling with a pregnancy loss, opening up about the heartbreaking ordeal in a candid Instagram post.
“At 16 weeks, we learned that our baby’s heart had stopped beating,” the mother of 2-year-old son Crew began in the post’s caption. “This is a grief no parent is ever prepared for. We are devastated, but remain hopeful to give Crew a sibling one day.”

Sims, who accompanied the post with images of a sonogram, her bare belly and what appeared to be a gender reveal cake, said she wanted to share her story so others in similar situations do not feel alone.
“Too often, these struggles happen in silence. There is still so much work and research needed to better understand and support women’s reproductive health. If you’re experiencing or have experienced pregnancy loss or infertility, please know you are not alone,” the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit model, 36, said.
“Lastly, I want to recognize the doctors and nurses who must deliver this kind of heartbreaking news every day. It has to be the hardest part of their job, and I’m holding space in my heart for you too.”
Sims has long been open about motherhood.
The model and actress, who gave birth to Crew in July 2023, spoke to Us Weekly this past summer about navigating parenthood with Koepka, her husband of three years.
“We’re just such a good team and we’re really good at delegating,” Sims told the outlet. “He can also read a room. If I’m really stressed, Brooks can pick up on it. He’ll come in and say, ‘I’m changing this diaper’ or ‘I’ll do bedtime tonight.’ He doesn’t have to do all that, but he does.”
Sims and Koepka, 35, tied the knot in a destination wedding in Turks and Caicos in June 2022.
She announced the couple was expecting their first child the following spring.
Sims supported Koepka this past weekend at the Alfred Dunhill Links Championship in Scotland. He tied for 15th with a 10-under overall.
