Tyreek Hill likely done as a Dolphin following crushing injury

Tyreek Hill may have played his final game as a Dolphin.

CBS reported Saturday that league sources expect Miami to release the superstar wide receiver before the start of the next league year next March after his gruesome knee injury Monday against the Jets. 

Hill tore several ligaments in his dislocated left knee, including his ACL, and underwent surgery on Tuesday. 

Drew Rosenhaus, Hill’s agent, said that the surgery was successful and that his client is aiming to be ready for Week 1 next season. 

Rosenhaus added that additional knee surgery won’t be necessary. 

Earlier this week, NFL Network reported that none of Hill’s $29.9 million salary in 2026 is guaranteed. 

Hill, however, has an $11 million injury guarantee — on top of a $5 million roster bonus — in his deal that would vest if he’s still with the Dolphins in March. 

It has long been speculated that Hill was unhappy in Miami, and trade rumors surrounded the 31-year-old all the way up until his injury with the Dolphins floundering through the first three weeks of the season.

Despite the injury, Hill was all smiles while being carted off the field on Monday. 

Hill reportedly visited the Dolphins’ facility on Friday ahead of their Week 5 matchup against the Panthers. 

The Dolphins are currently 1-3 after salvaging a victory over the Jets after Hill’s injury. 

Before going down, Hill had been enjoying a bounce-back season, catching 21 passes for 265 yards and a touchdown.

Hill has spent each of the past three seasons with the Dolphins after being traded from the Chiefs after the 2022 season.
