At one point, Swift explained that she worried her song-writing abilities would be in jeopardy if she truly fell in love, however, “that’s not the case at all.”

“I used to kind of have this dark fear that if I ever were truly like, happy, and free being myself, and nurtured by a relationship — what happens if the writing just dries up?” Swift said.

“What if writing is directly tied to my torment and pain? And it turns out that’s not the case at all, and we just were catching lightning in a bottle with this record.”

The blushing bride to be expanded on that in a separate interview during an appearance on “Heart Breakfast” with Jamie Theakston and Emma Bunton.

“Writing songs is one of my favorite things and I did kind of nurture a fear earlier on in my career that if I ever wasn’t truly miserable in my personal life, would I be able to write?” Swift said when Bunton asked if it’s easier to write songs when she’s in love or when she’s single.

“… Everyone in my life is like, ‘You’ve never been so yourself,’ which is this interesting thing… This person came into my life and everybody is like ‘you’ve never been so you.’ I think that comes through music. People who fuel you they fuel every part of you and they make you walk taller and they make you present in a more vibrant way, so hopefully that bleeds into the music too.”

Swift also gushed about the couple’s recent engagement.

“I’m so excited (to be engaged),” Swift said. “… He’s all the things, he’s fun and vibrant and has this infectious personality and makes me laugh so much.”

“Your English teacher and your gym teacher are getting married,” the pop superstar posted on Instagram, where she shared a collection of engagement photos.

Kelce, who popped the question ahead of his 13th NFL season with the Chiefs, presented Swift with an old mine brilliant-cut sparkler designed by jeweler Kindred Lubeck of Artifex Fine, a piece he also collaborated on, according to Page Six Style.

The engagement news came on the heels of Swift’s album reveal — a surprise she dropped in August on Kelce’s “New Heights” podcast that he co-hosts with his older brother, retired Eagles center Jason Kelce.

“I’ve been fortunate enough to hear every single song on here,” the three-time Super Bowl champ shared on the episode, where he described the new album as “a lot more upbeat” compared to tracks on her 2024 release, “The Tortured Poets Department.”

Swift responded, “Life is more upbeat.”

The 14-time Grammy winner’s media blitz Friday follows a quiet appearance at Arrowhead Stadium last Sunday, when she watched Kelce’s Chiefs defeat the Ravens, 37-20.

The Chiefs (2-2) return to action on Monday night against the Jaguars, the same day Swift will appear on “The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon.”
