Is the ‘Bone Lake’ Movie Streaming on Netflix or Prime Video?
Bone Lake, the new horror movie coming to movie theaters this weekend, sounds like a lake that is very horny, or very scary. Based on the Bone Lake trailer, I’d say it’s both!
Directed by Mercedes Bryce Morgan, with a screenplay written by Joshua Friedlander, Bone Lake stars Maddie Hasson and Marco Pigossi as a couple named Sage and Diego, who abscond on a romantic getaway to the eponymous Bone Lake. But when a miscommunication leads to them sharing a mansion with a mysterious couple, Will (Alex Roe) and Cin (Andra Nechita), things get… weird. And sexual. And scary.

Weird sexual tension is a staple of the horror genre, and Bone Lake promises to have plenty of it. What better way to kick off the first October weekend? Bone Lake first premiered at Fantastic Fest last month, to positive reviews. But if you’d rather wait to watch Bone Lake at home than in the movie theater, read on to find out what we know about when we expect to be able to watch Bone Lake streaming on digital platforms and on Paramount+.
Where to watch the Bone Lake movie:
For now, Bone Lake will only be available to watch in a movie theater, when it opens in theaters in the U.S. on Friday, October 3. You can find a showing near you via Fandango. Bone Lake is not yet available to watch online or on streaming.
Is the Bone Lake movie streaming on Netflix or Prime Video?
Bone Lake is not streaming on Netflix or Prime Video right now. While it’s possible Bone Lake may stream on Netflix someday, it won’t be until after the theatrical run and digital release of the movie. Bone Lake is not a Netflix original—it’s an independent film being distributed by Bleecker Street in the U.S. Never say never, but most of the recent Bleecker Street movies have not gone on to stream on Netflix, and instead go on to stream on Paramount+, thanks to a deal between Bleecker Street films and Showtime.
You will be able to purchase Bone Lake on Prime Video eventually, when the movie becomes available to buy and rent on digital, but you will not be able to stream Bone Lake on Prime Video free with a Prime subscription any time soon, because it is not a Prime original movie. If you want to watch Bone Lake movie at home, you’ll have to wait for the film to be available to buy or rent on digital platforms, or wait for Bone Lake to stream on Paramount+.
When will Bone Lake be streaming on Paramount Plus?
Bone Lake will likely be streaming on Paramount+ Premium within the next six months, thanks to the deal between Bleecker Street films and Showtime, which recently became combined with Paramount+, under the streamer’s “premium” subscription level.
Paramount+ offers two subscription plans. The ad-supported Essential plan costs $7.99/month, while the ad-free Premium plan (which comes with Showtime and live CBS) costs $12.99/month. New subscribers can take advantage of a seven-day free trial.
The exact Bone Lake Paramount+ release date has not yet been announced, but we can make an educated guess based on previous Bleecker Street films that went on to stream on Paramount+. Another Bleecker Street film, The Wedding Banquet (2025), began streaming on Paramount+ about four-and-a-half months after opening in theaters. If Bone Lake follows a similar release strategy, you should see Bone Lake on digital in about two-and-a-half weeks, and streaming on Paramount+ around late February or early March 2026.
This is all speculation. If you want to watch Bone Lake right away, you can go catch the movie in theaters this weekend.
