“Well, I can wear heels now,” the tall actress said, referring to Cruise’s famously short stature.
After the audience laughed, she added, “Let’s move on. Now we move on.”
Kidman and Cruise were married from 1990 to 2001. They share two adopted children: Isabella, 32, and Connor, 30.
Urban, 57, is also shorter than Kidman.
Kidman filed for divorce from Urban after 19 years of marriage on Sept. 30.
Court documents obtained by The Post reveal that the Oscar-winning actress cited “irreconcilable differences” as the reason for the split, and listed the pair’s date of separation as “date of filing.”
“Sometimes relationships just run their course,” a source told Page Six, adding that Kidman “did not want the separation and was trying to save things” with Urban.
Other sources alleged that Kidman and the country singer have been living separately “since the beginning of summer” and he’s already moved on with someone else.
“All the signs point to the fact Keith is with another woman,” a source claimed to TMZ. “Let’s just say, Nicole doesn’t dispute that, but she’s still shocked over it.”
During a recent concert, Urban was performing his 2017 song “The Fighter,” featuring Carrie Underwood, which was inspired by his relationship with Kidman.
On the stage, Urban changed one of the lyrics about his recently estranged wife to instead reference his guitar player, Maggie Baugh, 25.
The original lyric is: “When they’re tryna get to you, baby I’ll be the fighter,” but Urban sang: “When they’re tryna get to you, Maggie I’ll be your guitar player.”
Baugh shared an Instagram clip of the moment on Sept. 26, just days before Kidman filed for divorce. In her caption, she wrote, “Did he just say that” and included the eyeball emoji.
During another April performance of the song, fans noted that when he sang the lyrics “I was born to love you,” he appeared to look at Baugh.
The “American Idol” judge has reportedly already moved into his own residence in Nashville, and out of the family home they shared with their two daughters, Sunday Rose, 17, and Faith Margaret, 14.
An additional close to Kidman and Urban claimed that their split “really hasn’t been a secret” to their inner circle.
“People close to Keith felt like the split was kind of inevitable,” an insider told People on Monday, adding that Kidman and Urban have “been living separately for a while now.”
Sources told the outlet that the “Eyes Wide Shut” actress didn’t feel like Urban reciprocated her support of his career.
Kidman has turned to her friend, Naomi Watts, 57, in the wake of their split, according to the Daily Mail.
Watts also went through a public breakup from her ex, Liev Schreiber, 57, in 2016, with whom she shares kids Sasha, 18, and Kai, 16. The actress married Billy Crudup, 57, in 2023.
“Nic has been calling Naomi a ton to talk out how she needs to cope with the situation,” an insider told the outlet. “There has been a lot of advice flowing, and Nic listens because Naomi has been through it herself.”
