Selena Gomez shares first look at wedding reception

Selena Gomez and Benny Blanco kicked off married life with a lavish reception following their Santa Barbara nuptials on Saturday.

In an Instagram post shared Tuesday, the Disney Channel alum shared the first look at her reception, including images of her romantic vintage-style Ralph Lauren off-the-shoulder midi dress with a 50s vibe.

A snapshot from inside the soirée showed the Rare Beauty founder dancing barefoot with Blanco as the two puckered up for an intimate kiss. Another photo showed the newlyweds toasting to the success of their nuptials as Blanco kissed her on the cheek.

Other reception pics shared by the songstress revealed the couple’s simple wedding cake, reading “Just Married” with a bride and groom topper. Yet another candid photo from the celebration showed the glowing new bride lounging on a couch, her arms lovingly placed around her groom’s neck.

Blanco wore a black tuxedo vest and partially unbuttoned white shirt to celebrate with Gomez.

The songstress also shared stunning new photos of her wedding day looks, which included a custom Ralph Lauren hand-draped halter-neck satin dress with embroidery, and a similar halter-neck sheer lace look — complete with a sentimental hidden detail. Embroidered in the lace were the bride and groom’s initials.

Gomez accessorized her satin gown with a traditional veil, wearing her hair in glamorous old Hollywood curls around her neck and carrying a simple lily of the valley bouquet. Blanco wore a traditional tuxedo with a black bow tie.

In one photo, Blanco appeared to lead the beaming bride back down the aisle after exchanging vows.

Gomez captioned her new photos with simple white hearts and tags for Ralph Lauren, Blanco and her Rare Beauty brand. Her new husband commented, “wife.”

Prior to the star-studded bash, the pair tied the knot in a private ceremony at Sea Crest Nursery in Santa Barbara.

The weekend wedding was attended by Gomez’s “Only Murders in the Building” co-stars Steve Martin, Paul Rudd and Martin Short, among others — and newly engaged BFF Taylor Swift joked about the hitmaker beating her “to the altar” in a wedding speech.

Her grandfather, David Cornett, walked her down the aisle.

A starry rehearsal dinner was held on Friday at a mansion in Hope Ranch in Goleta Valley, Calif.

An insider told the Sun on Sept. 16 that guests were kept in the dark ahead of the ceremony — they knew only they’d be staying at the 5-star El Encanto hotel, but nothing more as they arrived for the top-secret soirée.

“All the guests will be picked up and driven to the location without knowing their destination ahead of time,” the source told the outlet. “Everyone is so excited despite the mystery, they know it will be an amazing time.”

Prior to that, a source revealed in July that the high-profile wedding would benefit from a heavy security presence.

“Security for Selena’s wedding will be of the utmost importance because not only is she a public figure, many of the guests will be too,” the source told the Daily Mail at the time.

“She is going back and forth on whether or not to allow people to have their phones as an extra measure of security and privacy, along with the fact that she wants everyone to be present,” they added.

The bride, 33, held a close-knit bachelorette celebration in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico, in August, attended by pals Raquelle Stevens, Ashley Cook and Courtney Lopez. The group was seen catching some rays on a yacht in the sunny locale.

The “Only Murders in the Building” star was snapped modeling a pearl halter dress with an embroidered veil reading “bride to be,” as well as a skin-baring bridal white string bikini.

The couple was first linked in July 2023 when the music producer, 37, attended the “Emilia Perez” star’s 31st birthday bash.

In an affectionate snapshot from the star-studded celebration, the songstress wrapped her arm around Blanco, sparking immediate dating rumors.

The pair subsequently hard-launched the relationship in December 2023, with Gomez sharing a PDA pic via Instagram Stories and confirming via an Instagram comment that they’d been dating for six months.

Underneath a fan account’s post reading, “Selena Gomez Seemingly Confirms That She Is in a Relationship,” she wrote, “facts.”

She also gave a thumbs-up to a post reading, “Selena Gomez Is Rumored to Be Dating Producer Benny Blanco” and commented that Blanco “has treated me better than any human being on this planet.”

The pair subsequently made a PDA-packed appearance at Taylor Swift’s 34th birthday celebration, solidifying the romance.

One year later, the Disney Channel alum confirmed she and Blanco were officially set to tie the knot with a social media engagement announcement on Dec. 11.

“Forever begins now,” the singer captioned an Instagram carousel of pics, displaying her stunning marquise-cut diamond ring.
