Chiefs’ Travis Kelce clears the air on his fiery blowup with Andy Reid
Travis Kelce wants everyone to know that there is no beef between him and Chiefs head coach Andy Reid despite their heated exchange during Sunday night’s game.
Kelce, 35, said his confrontation with Reid during Kansas City’s 22-9 Week 3 win over the Giants was no big deal, adding that the two were aware of “each other’s intentions.”

“I love that guy, man. There’s nothing outside of this building that’s gonna make me feel any different way,” Kelce said Friday, per The Athletic. “And we know exactly each other’s intentions. I think what Coach Reid does best is he challenges guys to be at their best.
“And I love that about him. It definitely helped me take my game to another level.”
In the first half of Sunday’s game, broadcast cameras caught Kelce and Reid getting into it on the sideline, where the head coach bumped into the 10-time Pro Bowler.
Reid seemingly had no issue with Kelce when asked by reporters about the outburst, saying that he loves Kelce’s “passion” for the game.
“I love Travis’ passion, man,” Reid said, according to ESPN. “I’m OK with that. We didn’t have enough of it in the second quarter. It wasn’t where we needed it to be, so, within reason, he knows when to back off the pedal and knows when to push it too.
“That’s the part I love about him. The guy is all-in. Sometimes, I have to be the policeman. He’s an emotional guy.”
Kelce said fans should make “what Coach Reid made of it” in regard to the argument.
The three-time Super Bowl champion added that the Chiefs are “in a great position” despite their 1-2 record.

“This team is in a great position right now,” Kelce said. “We’ve got a lot of guys motivated to keep fixing things, and as long as we keep seeing that progression each and every single week, which we have, we know we’re only a few plays away from being 3-0 right now.
“So we’ve just got to make sure that we’re coming out playing all four quarters.”
