“Game of Thrones” star Natalie Dormer, who is playing Sarah Ferguson in the upcoming ITV / Britbox TV show “The Lady,” has announced that she won’t promote the show. Her decision comes in the wake of new revelations about Ferguson’s ties to Jeffrey Epstein.
Additionally, the British actress plans to donate her salary from the show to charities focused on child abuse.

“When I agreed to take the role in ‘The Lady,’ I knew portraying the script’s Sarah Ferguson would require nuance. People are layered, their journeys are full of highs and lows, and as an actor, my job is to lean into those elements and bring them to life with honesty and empathy,” Dormer, 43, told Variety in a statement.
“Since completing the project, new information has come to light that makes it impossible for me to reconcile my values with Sarah Ferguson’s behavior, which I believe is inexcusable.”
“The Tudors” actress added, “For that reason, I will not be taking part in the promotion of the project.”
The Post reached out to Dormer for comment.
The “Hunger Games” actress was referring to a leaked email from 2011 that was first published by the Mail on Sunday.
In the leaked email, Ferguson, 65 called the notorious convicted sex offender – who died in prison of apparent suicide in 2019 – a “supreme friend,” and apologized to Epstein for publicly distancing herself from him.
“I know you feel hellaciously let down by me from what you were either told or read,” she wrote in the leaked email. “I must humbly apologize to you and your heart for that.”
She also referred to him as “dear Jeffrey” and a “steadfast, generous and supreme friend.”
Fergie — who still lives with Prince Andrew – was dumped by at least six charities on Monday, following the leaked email.
On Tuesday, the Duchess of York’s rep told the Telegraph that the gushing email had been written to protect her and her Princesses Beatrice, 37, and Eugenie, 35, the daughters she shares with disgraced Epstein pal Andrew.
“It was a chilling call,” said her rep, James Henderson.
“He said he would destroy the York family and he was quite clear on that. He said he would destroy me. He wasn’t shouting. He had a Hannibal Lecter-type voice. It was very cold and calm and really menacing and nasty.”
“The Lady” is a four-part series expected to premiere at the end of the year, or in early 2026.
Hailing from Left Bank Pictures, the producers of “The Crown,” the drama is about former royal dresser Jane Andrews (Mia McKenna-Bruce), who worked for Ferguson before she was convicted of the murder of her boyfriend, Thomas Cressman (Ed Speleers) in 2001.
