Lefty denials are sick after a decade of stoking violence against the right

If the Dallas shooting doesn’t wake up the left about where its rhetoric is leading, what will it take?

The early hours after the attack featured the exact same kind of denials as the early days after the Charlie Kirk assassination.

CNN brought out the same “experts” to again declare that the shooter surely wasn’t a lefty, while Democratic “thinkers” from Jon Favreau to Matt Yglesias rushing to social media to slam the likes of Vice President J.D. Vance for “inaccurately” rushing to declare this to be left-wing violence.

Except it was always obvious: Nobody sprays rifle fire all over an ICE facility to make any kind of right-wing point.

Meanwhile, the likes of “Morning Joe” Scarborough keep citing studies that “prove” most political violence is right-wing — blissfully ignorant (because liberals never leave their bubble) of the extensive debunking of the Cato study, the ADL “research” and so on.

All this, barely a week after the left’s fiasco after the Kirk killing — culminating in Jimmy Kimmel’s confident lecture to his audience about the MAGA crowd trying to pretend that shooter wasn’t one of them.

He’s so dishonest that his “regretful” remarks on his return didn’t even acknowledge that reckless lie.

Then again, we still haven’t seen any apology from No. 1 Substacker and CNN “expert” Heather Cox Richardson for her confident assurance to her 2.7 million subscribers that Kirk’s killer “embraced the far right.”

Let us note, as well, the left-wing violence that popped up between these two high-profile incidents.

  • Soon after the Kirk killing in Utah, two men — Adeeb Nasir, 58, and Adil Justice Ahmed Nasir, 31 — were arrested after allegedly planting an incendiary devise under a Fox-13 news van in Salt Lake City.
  • After the Kimmel suspension, former California Federation of Teachers official Anibal Hernandez Santana — whose social-media is filled with anti-Trump rants — opened fire on Sacramento-based ABC10.

Meanwhile, the world finally learned that Nicholas Roske, Supreme Court Justice Bret Kavanaugh’s would-be assassin, had mapped out where several other justices lived before he came enough to his senses to abort his 2022 plot.

Of course, that info was easy to find because left-wingers had publicly posted the conservative jurists’ home addresses as part of the campaign to intimidate them in advance of the Dobbs decision — a draft of which some high-court insider (most likely a liberal justice’s clerk) had leaked weeks in advance, in an unprecedented ethical violation.

Similarly, we now know that Joshua Jahn had been monitoring ICE agents thanks to one of the many left-wing websites that track their movements in cities across the country — info that’s meant to help frustrate law-enforcement operations.

This year has seen hundreds of attacks on ICE and Border Patrol agents., all too often egged on by elected Democrats.

Grassroots lefties have convinced themselves they’re fighting fascism, while academic and media elites either ignore the ensuing violence or, when that’s impossible, do their best to deny it’s left-wing.

Hence last week’s YouGov poll showing that three times as many liberals believed Kirk’s killer was a righty as knew he was a lefty.

In the wake of obvious outrages like the near-assassination of President Donald Trump or the Kirk murder, the likes of Gov. Gavin Newsom issue brief calls to “tone down the rhetoric on both sides” — only to rapidly resume screaming about rampant “authoritarianism” and even claiming to doubt the nation will have an election in 2028.

Somewhere over the last decade or two, progressives shifted insanely far from the center on issues from immigration and crime to “gender ideology” and “racial equity,” somehow also convincing themselves that only dark fascist conspiracies stand in the way of the nation embracing their views — and that speech disagreeing with them is itself a genuine form of violence.

Leading Democrats and liberals who see this decide not to call it out because it will mean losing the next election or two, but until they stand up to the madness on their own side, these cascading delusions and mutual deceptions will keep driving ever-more violence, on the road to literally tearing the nation apart.

Let’s be honest—no matter how stressful the day gets, a good viral video can instantly lift your mood. Whether it’s a funny pet doing something silly, a heartwarming moment between strangers, or a wild dance challenge, viral videos are what keep the internet fun and alive.
