Megan Thee Stallion seeks DNA ‘leak’ report source from DJ Akademiks

Rapper Megan Thee Stallion wants to force a New Jersey podcaster to testify in her ongoing legal battle against a Texas YouTuber whom she claims is working with the man who once infamously shot her in the foot.

The Grammy winner, whose real name is Megan Pete, sued YouTuber Milagro Gramz in 2024, accusing Gramz of “a years-long campaign to smear and intimidate” her on behalf of Canadian rapper Daystar Peterson.

Gramz, whose real name is Milagro Cooper, has allegedly been “compensated thousands of dollars to post fallacious information about Megan” online and has been “consciously coordinating” with Peterson, according to the rapper’s Florida defamation suit.

As part of the case, the hip hop icon had called in podcasting influencer Livingston Allen, better known by his stage name, DJ Akademiks, to disclose how he obtained sealed DNA results from tests conducted on the gun used to shoot her.

But when Akademiks, 34, whose given name is Livingston Allen, sat with Megan Thee Stallion’s lawyers on Aug. 22, he gave only rote answers or cited shield laws typically used by journalists to protect their sources, the rapper said in a Sept. 16 court filing.

Now they’re asking a New Jersey court to force Akademiks to testify.

The rapper is trying to find out who gave Akademiks and Gramz a sealed court report, with the results of testing on DNA lifted from the weapon. In 2022, the pair allegedly used the report to “rally” the public against her, Megan Thee Stallion, 30, claimed.

Akademiks told Megan’s lawyers last month he would “never reveal” his source unless compelled “under a court order.”

Spokespeople for Akademiks, Gramz, and Lanes could not be reach for comment.
