“One suspect was seen climbing the fence on Jackson Street and damaging the iconic vintage Humpty Dumpty figure by forcibly removing it from the structure where it was mounted,” Cape May police said.

Police said the defenseless figure, decked out in a blue and yellow suit and a creepy smile, was discarded a few properties down the road in bad shape, though it wasn’t shattered.

The incident occurred at Cape May’s Ocean Putt Mini Golf Course.

Cape May cops released video footage of the two Humpty Dumbskis, who appear to be young men, in hopes that the public will help them crack the case.

The mini golf course has been open since 1964 and is family-owned, according to its social media page.

The putt putt is one of a few right along the water in the popular vacation destination.
