Career criminal spews bizarre ‘child molesters’ rant as he’s charged in vicious double murder, torching of elderly Queens couple
The deranged career criminal busted in the slaying of an elderly Queens couple ludicrously ranted that the two victims were “child molesters” as he was slapped with 16 murder charges Thursday.
Motormouth Jamel McGriff, 42, spewed vile nonsense as he was led in handcuffs out of an NYPD stationhouse by detectives on his way to court – a day after he took in a religious children’s film in a Manhattan movie theater using his victims’ credit cards ultimately leading to his arrest.

“Both of them were child molesters, they were molesting little kids,” an angry McGriff, who is a sex offender, wildly and baselessly claimed as reporters asked him about the crime as grieving community members confronted the captured sicko at the 107th Precinct in Queens.
“Get your facts straight,” the rambling wacko, who has a long rap sheet, sneered as he was tossed into a police car.
About 10 community members gathered to heckle McGriff, who allegedly stabbed and torched Frank and Maureen Olton inside their modest Bellerose house Monday.
“F–k you!” one woman shouted back at a ranting McGriff. “Someone should burn you alive.”
McGriff, a parolee who served more than 16 years behind bars before his release in 2023, was hit with murder, robbery, burglary, kidnapping, arson and related charges tied to the Olton killings Thursday.
The vicious murders set off a high-profile manhunt as NYPD leaders plastered McGriff’s face across the city.
Before his capture, he went to the Regal movie theater in Union Square, where he watched “Light of the World,” law enforcement sources said.
The flick is a 2-D animated story of Jesus that is told through the perspective of his pal, the Apostle John, according to the movie’s website.
The movie opened on Sept. 5.
