That means the trippy rockers now headline at Brooklyn’s Barclays Center on Monday, Oct. 27, Tuesday, Oct. 28, Friday, Oct. 31 and Saturday, Nov. 1.

Kevin Parker and co.’s other new shows go down at Oakland’s Oakland Arena (Nov. 15) and Los Angeles’ Kia Forum (Nov. 17).

These 12 fall concerts will be the Grammy-winning outfit’s first since Parker dropped into Barcelona’s Primavera Festival for two performances this past June. The first gig was a DJ set that was part of the fest; number two found him unveiling “End of Summer,” aka “Deadbeat’s” lead single.

“…the thumping, house-inspired track [‘End of Summer’]…seems to split the difference between the most upbeat modes of Tame Impala’s last album, 2020’s ‘The Slow Rush,’ and his dance pop-centered production work for the likes of Dua Lipa and Mark Ronson,” Consequence explained. “It’s not exactly a ‘Tame Impala-goes-full-EDM’ pivot, though, with psychedelic synths cascading throughout the song and a bumping bassline beneath.”

Prior to his stage time testing the waters this summer, Tame Impala most recently toured in earned in support of their 2020 album “The Slow Rush in” in 2022-23. That run found the group headlining the Barclays Center twice.

“In addition to flowing between sounds, the band has perfected the art of tension and release, creating many building moments that, once resolved, had the crowd erupting,” Variety raved about the show.

Need to hear “Feels Like We Only Go Backwards,” “The Less I Know The Better,” “Borderline,” “Neverender,” “New Person, Old Mistakes” and more live?

Tame Impala new music

Ahead of the Oct. 17 “Deadbeat” release, Tame Impala has released two singles.

Up first, the jittery, breakbeat “End of Summer” — alluded to above — is a hypnotic piece of piece that toes the line of indie rock, EDM, pop and full-on stadium anthem. It’s groovy, mean, lean and a heckuva good time.

“Loser,” the second single, is classic, funky Tame Impala. Introspective lyrics and tight, trippy yet tropical instrumentals meld together to create another groovy entry in his canon.

If you’d like to hear either of these bops, you can find both “End of Summer” and “Loser” here.

Plus, as an added bonus, Parker dropped music videos for both tracks. Click here to watch the sometimes soothing and often chaotic “End of Summer” or check out Joe Keery (of “Stranger Things” and the band Djo fame) deal with a breakup in “Loser.”
