“The response is the one you all just heard,” he said on Monday’s episode of their “Amy & T.J.” podcast. “She laughs at me. She’s laughing at me.”

“I need to write in to my own damn column to get some advice about what to do when the person you’re with — who is maybe at an advanced baby-making age — laughs every time you bring up the possibility of kids,” he quipped.

Robach, 52, explained that the reason her response was to laugh was due to the fact that she was told she was “out of the baby making business” following her breast cancer diagnosis in 2013. She entered remission in 2014.

“Listen that was devastating to hear,” she recalled. “I can laugh now because that ship has sailed so long ago. So that’s why I do chuckle, because yes, that was a painful thing to hear at 40. But I have come to peace with it and am very happy to have had two children.”

“I’m saying this genuinely — my girls have now gone off — but to have Sabine [Holmes’ 12-year-old daughter] around is joy. I absolutely, totally appreciate and actually really look forward to and love having that childlike, that sweetness around. It’s awesome.”

The duo each have children from previous marriages. Robach shares daughters Ava, 22, and Annalise, 19, with her first husband, Tim McIntosh. Holmes, 48, has three kids: daughter Brianna and son Jaiden with his first wife, Amy Ferson, and daughter Sabine with his second wife, Marilee Fiebig.

The co-hosts agreed earlier that they view their blended family as one and treat each other’s children as their own, but Holmes admitted that having their “own” child is something that has weighed on his mind recently.

Robach agreed with Holmes that wanting to have a child with your partner is a “natural desire,” but did not add anymore input about her feelings on the potential of adopting. ajrobach/Instagram

“It’s not even a matter of watching you and your girls, you watching me with mine,” he explained to Robach. “It’s just really a matter of when you are with [someone] you can’t help but want to create your own unit. And yes, those units sometimes come from other pieces and places coming together, but you can have them.”

Robach agreed that there is a “natural desire” for that “unit” that comes with sharing a child with your partner, but did not add any more about her feelings on potentially adopting.

The former “Good Morning America” hosts were first romantically linked in November 2022 when they were accused of having a months-long affair behind their respective partners’ backs. (Robach was still married to Shue and Holmes to Fiebig.)

The “GMA3” co-hosts were subsequently fired from their positions at ABC and divorced their spouses in the following months.

In a shocking twist, Shue and Fiebig debuted their own romance in December 2023. Finding out that their exes were dating had the journalists “fuming” at the time due to it overshadowing the debut of their podcast, a source previously told Page Six.

Both couples are still going strong. Holmes hinted that he and Robach secretly wed back in May after the couple sparked engagement rumors. As for Shue and Fiebig, the lovebirds moved in together in February.

“[They] have moved in together,” a source told Us Weekly at the time. “It’s not revenge. It’s real.”

“Marriage is a big step, so they’re cautious and careful because they got hurt the last time,” the insider added. “It’s more important for them to just be in love, live together, travel and enjoy each other.”
