Daniil Medvedev’s Sunday night meltdown is going to cost him.

The Russian tennis star was fined $42,500 by the U.S. Open on Wednesday for his on-court tirade after a photographer — whose media credential was later revoked — interrupted play for nearly seven minutes in the third set against Benjamin Bonzi.

He was hit with a $30,000 fine for unsportsmanlike conduct and $12,500 for racket abuse.

The total fine accounts for more than 38 percent of Medvedev’s prize money from the 6-3, 7-5, 6-7 (5), 0-6, 6-4 first-round loss.

The photographer, later identified as Selcuk Acar, stepped onto the court at Louis Armstrong Stadium while Bonzi was serving match point.

Because of the disruption, chair umpire Greg Allensworth decided Bonzi could get another first serve.

That did not sit well with Medvedev, who argued with Allensworth.

“Are you a man? Are you a man? Why are you shaking? What’s wrong, huh? Guys, he wants to leave. He gets paid by the match not by the hour,” Medvedev said of the umpire as he yelled to the spectators in attendance in Queens.

Medvedev, 29, eventually lost the match in five sets, and he smashed his racket until it was destroyed after the defeat.

“I was not upset with the photographer,” Medvedev told reporters after the loss. “I was upset with the decision. The delay from the photographer was probably four seconds and a half. I’m not sure it’s enough for a [first] serve.”

After the incident, Acar told The Daily Mail that he was “innocent.”

“I’m a victim and totally innocent,” Acar told the website. “This incident has already turned into a lynching, and although I’m innocent, I’ve suffered greatly. If there’s a camera there, if it’s monitored, it will show that I returned to the official twice and didn’t enter.”

The U.S. Open previously said in a statement to The Post that Acar did not follow the rules of the grand slam.

“The photographer had been instructed to stay in place by US Open security,” the USTA said in a statement to The Post. “The photographer disregarded these instructions and improperly entered the court between serves on match point. The Chair Umpire also instructed the photographer to immediately sit down, and these instructions were also disregarded. The photographer’s credential was revoked for the 2025 US Open.”

This is the latest bad moment in the 2025 major season for the 2021 U.S. Open winner Medvedev,, who won just one grand slam match — a first-round match at the Australian Open.
