Netanyahu says Hamas ‘probably’ wouldn’t have attacked on Oct. 7 if Trump were president

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said Hamas “probably” wouldn’t have carried out the deadly Oct. 7 terror attack if President Trump had been in the White House at the time.

Netanyahu made the admission in an interview on Patrick Bet-David’s “PBD Podcast” late Tuesday when he was asked if the massacre would have still unfolded under the current administration — or if Hamas would’ve been too fearful.

“Probably not,” Netanyahu said, adding that “It’s hard to say with these maniacs, you can’t quite tell.”

“I think Iran would have been more careful,” he continued. “And Iran is the patron.”

His remarks came as Trump’s special envoy Steve Witkoff revealed the president would be facilitating a “large meeting” at the White House on Wednesday to discuss a “comprehensive plan” on how to manage Gaza post-war.

“Many people are going to see how robust it is and how well meaning it is, and it reflects President Trump’s humanitarian motives,” Witkoff told Fox News.

He added that Washington expected Israel’s war in the Palestinian territory to be settled by the end of the year.

It wasn’t immediately who would be present at the Trump meeting.
