The five-time Pro Bowl wideout was drafted by the organization with the fourth overall pick out of Alabama in 2015 when the team was based in Oakland.

The move comes after Raiders veteran wideout Jakobi Meyers requested a trade during a contract dispute, per an ESPN source.

The 28-year-old wide receiver is seeking a new contract as he enters the final year of his current deal, which doesn’t have any guaranteed money remaining.

The Raiders, who have limited depth at the position, are reportedly not willing to trade Meyers.

Meyers had a career year last season and the Raiders seemingly do not want to try to replace that production this late in training camp.

He tallied 87 catches for 1,027 yards and four touchdowns.

Tre Tucker had the second-most yards among Raiders receivers with 47 catches for 539 yards — tight end Brock Bowers led the team in receiving yards — but didn’t score a touchdown.

Las Vegas also has rookies Dont’e Thornton Jr. and Jack Bech, with the latter more often playing with the second-team offense during practice.

Cooper topped 1,000 yards in each of his first two seasons with the Raiders. He tallied 225 catches for 3,183 yards and 19 scores in his time with the franchise.

The Raiders later sent him to the Cowboys in a 2018 midseason trade and he earned his third and fourth Pro Bowl nods, respectively, during his time with the franchise before Dallas sent him to Cleveland before the 2022 season.

The Bills acquired him last October in hopes of finally returning to the Super Bowl, but a wrist injury suffered in Week 8 limited him.

Cooper tallied 20 receptions for 297 yards and two touchdowns spanning eight games, and managed just six catches for 41 yards in three postseason games.

The 547-yard season marked the worst of Cooper’s career, which features seven campaigns with at least 1,000 yards.

Cooper will have a little less than two weeks to develop a rapport with quarterback Geno Smith before Las Vegas’ Week 1 road contest against the Patriots.
