LeBron James makes stance clear on coaching following eventual NBA retirement
Between being an NBA champion, MVP and even a barbie doll, LeBron James has seen and done almost all of it — and you can scratch being a coach off that list.
James said on his “Mind the Game” podcast with co-host Steve Nash that he’d never become a coach after a fan posed the question.

“Let me just stop that one right now and say, please don’t coach,” Nash said while reading a question about who James would coach for — if anyone.
“There’s no way, guys,” James said while laughing and making hand gestures to further show his denial. “Appreciate you for the kind question, but it ain’t happening. No team. Zero chance.”
James, 40, is approaching the end of his NBA playing career and his future beyond playing is a mystery.
James is a part-owner of the Fenway Sports Group, which is a stakeholder in Liverpool and the Red Sox, so he’ll be involved in professional sports in some capacity.
He had also been rumored to be involved in a potential NBA expansion team that James could lead upon his retirement.
James has been seen on the sidelines for much of his career, coaching younger players on his teams, including a viral clip with Austin Reaves in his rookie year.
He had recently teased his retirement in an advertisement, with his $52.6 million option for the 2026 season still waiting to be picked up.
He is widely expected to return to the Lakers this offseason, although this is supposed to be an extremely active trade season and it seems like anything is possible at this point.
Let’s be honest—no matter how stressful the day gets, a good viral video can instantly lift your mood. Whether it’s a funny pet doing something silly, a heartwarming moment between strangers, or a wild dance challenge, viral videos are what keep the internet fun and alive.
