Keke Palmer debuts pixie haircut ahead of 32nd birthday

Keke Palmer is in her pixie cut era.

The “One of Them Days” actress bid farewell to her long locks, debuting the dramatic hair transformation ahead of her 32nd birthday on August 26.

She shared a series of selfies of her new ‘do on Instagram, captioning the post, “My birthday is just around the corner… ♍️💕”

In the slideshow, the A-lister first posted close-up pictures taken from inside her car, followed by more snaps shot at home.

Palmer’s fresh, choppy cut includes short bangs and tapering on both sides in the same spiced ginger color she’s been sporting since January, when she debuted the hue during an appearance on “Good Morning America.”

Her shortest look in years, the singer’s latest hairstyle has her fans’ seal of approval. “Ummmnn I love the cut sissy 😍😍😍😍😍,” one user shared. A second wrote, “When I say the hair GIVESSSSS”

Meanwhile, a third added, “Girlllllll 🔥 Now y’all wanna make me go cut my hair 😍😍”

Last month at the 2025 Essence Fest in New Orleans, Palmer chatted about her auburn hair color with People.

“Having red hair is way more fun. It’s funny because I was red before, but I don’t think that the color was giving what it’s giving now,” she told the outlet at the event.

“This ginger copper, … I’m living my best life and I’m never going back. I need everybody to know I’m never going back. Legitimately.”

Palmer added, “I don’t know why Tyra [Banks] went back. It works with the eyes, it works with everything. It’s really, really good. It’s so crazy how it’s like there’s not really many Black redheads, but for whatever reason it looks good on our skin.”

This pixie cut may be temporary, but it seems her red hair is forever.
