Cassie Ventura returns to social media after testifying in Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs’ trial, giving birth

Casandra “Cassie” Ventura is back on social media after her emotional days-long testimony in Sean “Diddy” Combs’ sex-trafficking trial earlier this year — and she brought her sense of humor with her.

The “Me & U” singer — who welcomed her third child with husband Alex Fine in May, while the trial was ongoing — reposted a video that features a postpartum joke via her Instagram Story Thursday.

In the playful clip, a man is seen dancing to DJ Khaled and Rihanna’s hit track “Wild Thoughts,” with text over it that reads, “When your old self slowly starts coming out postpartum.”

She also wrote in the comments section, “Factual. Little by little lol.”

Ventura, 38, appears to be in much better spirits than she was a few months ago, when she had to relive many of the horrifying details of her more than a decade-long relationship with Combs, 55.

During the highly publicized trial, the “Long Way 2 Go” singer had to testify about the shocking 2016 surveillance video of the “Bad Boy for Life” rapper beating her in a hotel lobby.

She also expanded on other abusive instances throughout their relationship, and detailed their infamous “Freak-Offs,” in which she slept with a sex worker while Combs watched in a nearby corner in the room.

Ventura testified on the stand that the longest “Freak-Off” lasted around four days, and she suffered several medical issues because of the sex acts, including urinary tract infections and mouth sores.

She also had to withstand a scathing cross-examination, in which prosecutors tried to poke holes in her testimony, revealing private and explicit texts between her and her ex.

Despite the “Love a Loser” singer’s best efforts, Combs was eventually acquitted of his sex trafficking and racketeering charges, though he was found guilty of transportation to engage in prostitution.

Ventura’s lawyer issued a statement following the verdict, noting why they still saw the decision as a win.

“This entire criminal process started when our client Cassie Ventura had the courage to file her civil complaint in November 2023,” Doug Widor said in July.

“Although the jury did not find Combs guilty of sex trafficking Cassie beyond a reasonable doubt, she paved the way for a jury to find him guilty of transportation to engage in prostitution.”

He praised his client’s “indelible mark on both the entertainment industry and the fight for justice” and concluded, “This case proved that change is long overdue, and we will continue to fight on behalf of survivors.”
