The writer told The Hollywood Reporter on Tuesday that he is “getting more texts about what’s going on with them than anything else.”

“All I can say is what I know — which is, on set from the beginning, the two of them had immediate chemistry,” Mand shared with the outlet. “They liked each other. You only dream that your two costars are connecting on that level.”

The “Pretty Smart” writer added that he is “pulling for the two of them in a very big way.”

In this hilarious remake, Neeson plays Lt. Frank Drebin Jr., the son of Leslie Nielsen’s Frank Drebin from the original films.

Anderson, meanwhile, stars as femme fatale Beth.

In recent weeks, reports have surfaced that the pair is “in the early stages” of dating.

An insider told People that Neeson and Anderson are “enjoying each other’s company,” adding, “It’s sincere, and it’s clear they’re smitten with each other.”

Both stars have proven that to be true during multiple press outings.

The “Taken” actor recently gushed over his co-star while talking to Rolling Stone.

“In ‘The Naked Gun,’ I was surrounded by terrific actors and actresses, especially Pamela Anderson,” he explained. “She’s outstanding in the film — she’s sexy, funny and just great to work with.”

Neeson previously shared his affection for Anderson, claiming he was “madly in love” with her.

“She’s just terrific to work with,” he elaborated. “I can’t compliment her enough. I’ll be honest with you.”

Last month, the “Baywatch” actress also confessed how incredible it was to work with the Oscar nominee.

“I think I have a friend forever in Liam, and we definitely have a connection that is very sincere, very loving, and he’s a good guy,” Anderson told Entertainment Weekly.

She expressed that Neeson is a “true artist” and compared his acting in “over a hundred films” to her own career on-screen.

“He comes from theater and ‘Schindler’s List’ and has done over a hundred films,” Anderson said. “And I did things inside out and backwards, came from television, and then my personal life kind of overshadowed my professional life.”

“It is funny,” she mused. “We all come to this place in different ways, but to be able to share this experience with him is very meaningful and such an honor.”

Neeson was previously married to Natasha Richardson from 1994 until her death in 2009.

The “Parent Trap” actress died at age 45 after suffering head trauma in a skiing accident in Quebec, Canada. Neeson and Richardson’s sons were just 12 and 13 at the time of the accident.

Micheál Richardson, who changed his last name to honor his late mom, is now 30, while Daniel Neeson is 28.

Anderson was married to Tommy Lee from 1995 to 1998. She tied the knot four other times, including to Kid Rock, Dan Hayhurst and twice to Rick Salomon.

Anderson and Lee, 62, share sons Brandon, 29, and Dylan, 27.

Since news of their romance broke, Neeson and Anderson’s families have seemingly given their stamp of approval.

Their children all posed alongside their famous parents for a group shot during the “Naked Gun” premiere last month in New York City.

Anderson and Neeson also appeared on Sunday’s “Watch What Happens Live” with his youngest son, Daniel, in the audience.

Host Andy Cohen was a close pal of the late Richardson. During the episode, he said all of Neeson’s “friends are very much stanning this relationship, as the kids say.”

Putting the “Wildcat” vet’s youngest son on the spot, he quipped, “Right, Danny?” to which Daniel simply replied, “Yes.”

Jamie Lee Curtis also weighed in on the budding romance.

The SAG-nominated pair starred in the film “The Last Showgirl” together in 2024.

Curtis, 66, just wants the public to let Neeson and Anderson be.

“With all due respect to pop culture, if love has found its way into that relationship, God bless them both,” the actress said in an interview with “VT” on Tuesday. “Leave them the f–k alone. And let them like each other.”

Anderson and Neeson have yet to confirm their romance. However, they have leaned into the dating speculation.

The duo pretended to make out and get caught on camera before their “Today” show segment started last month.
