Baseball at a race track? You heard that right! A baseball diamond was constructed between turns three and four at Bristol Motor Speedway. It’s almost symmetrical, with 330 feet down the right and left field lines, and 400 feet to center. The left-center field gap is just slightly larger (384 feet) than the right-center field gap (375 feet).
The MLB’s current regular-season attendance record stands at 84,587, set all the way back in 1954, but with over 85,000 tickets sold for today’s game, a new record will be set tonight.
