A Brooklyn deli worker was stabbed to death by an “agitated” maniac in an unprovoked attack Friday afternoon, cops and sources said.
The disturbed attacker walked into the NY Deli & Mini Market Corp. on Hegeman Avenue near Van Siclen Avenue in East New York just after 3 p.m., and workers — including the victim — asked him to leave, law enforcement sources said.

But he came back a few minutes later and tried to make his way behind the counter, the sources said.

Employees again tried to stop him, but he pulled out a knife and stabbed one of them, believed to be in his 30s, “a few times” in his torso, according to the sources.
The gravely wounded worker was rushed to Brookdale University Hospital Medical Center, where he ultimately succumbed to his injuries, cops said.

The unhinged knifeman fled the scene and had not been caught hours later.
He is described as having a dark complexion and braided hair, standing about 5-foot-10 and weighing 190 pounds, police said.
