The pop superstar, 40, was performing her hit “Eye of the Tiger” as she flew above the crowd in San Francisco on a giant butterfly machine, when the technical prop suddenly malfunctioned.

She told her audience at that moment, “Sing it now. Sing it!” and held out her mic before the butterfly suddenly dropped, making her slightly lose her balance.

The crowd could be heard in video of the mishap reacting in shock and fear, as screams grew louder.

Perry, meanwhile, also seemed to be terrified, as she had a panicked look on her face.

However, the “Dark Horse” singer quickly regained her composure and continued singing the song.

“You’re going to hear me roar,” she sang, while still holding on tightly to the butterfly prop.

Following the concert, Perry took to her Instagram Stories to troll herself over the incident.

She jokingly posted a picture of herself with her mouth wide open during the snafu and wrote over it, “Goodnight San Fran.”

Page Six has reached out to the “E.T.” singer’s rep for further comment on how she’s doing but did not immediately hear back.

Perry’s technical malfunction comes just a few weeks after Beyoncé had her own scary incident.

In late June, the Grammy winner, 43, was performing in Houston for her “Cowboy Carter” tour, when an aerial red car she used during her “16 Carriages” performance leaned and then came to a halting stop.

“If ever I fall I know y’all catch me,” Beyoncé later told her fans when she was back onstage.

Perry has had more than just tech mishaps to deal with in recent months, however.

Her “Lifetimes” albums garnered low sales, she was recently grabbed by a rogue fan onstage and was roasted for her choreography, all while navigating her split from Orlando Bloom after 10 years together.

Let’s be honest—no matter how stressful the day gets, a good viral video can instantly lift your mood. Whether it’s a funny pet doing something silly, a heartwarming moment between strangers, or a wild dance challenge, viral videos are what keep the internet fun and alive.
