‘M3GAN 2.0’ Comes to Digital, But When Will ‘Megan 2.0’ Be Streaming Free on Peacock?

Not many people went to see M3GAN 2.0 in theaters. But now that Megan 2.0 will be available to buy and rent on digital platforms starting tomorrow, perhaps there are more viewers willing to watch this killer doll and her killer dance moves from the comfort of their home.

In 2023, the campy horror flick M3GAN took the world by storm. Audiences couldn’t get enough of the sassy, dancing, killer AI doll, modeled by Amie Donald and voiced by Jenna Davis. Now director Gerard Johnstone is back with a sequel that promises even more absurd, meme-able moments. M3GAN 2.0 picks up two years after the events of the first film. Gemma (Allison Williams) and her adopted daughter Cady (Violet McGraw) successfully trapped the evil M3GAN spirit into the body of a harmless doll. But when a new AI doll threat, AMELIA (Ivanna Sakhno), bursts onto the scene, Gemma and Cady must turn to their former foe for help.

Some viewers and critics were bummed that this sequel switches genres from campy horror to sci-fi action. Maybe that’s why M3GAN 2.0 made only $33.5 million at the worldwide box office, compared to the first movie’s $181.8 million. But again, it’s possible the sequel will find its audience in home-viewing. Here’s what to know about where to watch Megan 2.0 online, and when we expect to see Megan 2.0 streaming free on Peacock.

Where to watch Megan 2.0 movie on streaming:

Beginning on Tuesday, July 15 at 12 a.m. Eastern Time (which is also July 14 at 9 p.m. Pacific Time) Megan 2.0 movie will be available to buy and rent digitally on Amazon Prime, Apple TV, Fandango At Home, and more. The price may vary depending on which platform you use to purchase the film, but on Amazon Prime the film costs $24.99 to buy a digital copy, and $19.99 to rent. If you rent the movie, you’ll have 48 hours to watch the movie after hitting “play.”

Megan 2.0 is not yet streaming on any subscription streaming services, but we do expect to see Megan 2.0 streaming on Peacock soon.

Peacock currently offers two subscription types: Premium with ads and Premium Plus ad-free. Peacock Premium costs $7.99/month, while Premium Plus costs $13.99/month.

You can save a bit by subscribing to one of Peacock’s annual plans, which give you 12 months for the price of 10. These cost either $79.99 with ads or $139.99 without ads.

When will Megan 2.0 movie be streaming on Peacock?

Megan 2‘s streaming release date on Peacock has not yet been announced, but we know that Megan 2.0 will stream on Peacock eventually because it is a Universal movie, and Peacock is the streaming service owned by Universal. All the new Universal theatrical movies end up streaming on Peacock, though the wait period has varied by title.

Another Universal release, The Woman in the Yard, began streaming on Peacock on June 27, which was about three months after the movie opened in theaters.

If Megan 2.0 follows a similar release pattern, you might see the movie streaming on Peacock around streaming on Peacock around late September or early October 2025.

This is all speculation. Universal has not had a consistent digital release strategy. Nosferatu, for example, took only two months to stream on Peacock, rather than three.
