This week marks the arrival of the new reality series Love Island: Beyond The Villa on Peacock, but if you’re looking for something more cerebral and serious, try the latest season of Foundation on Apple TV+. And if you love a good reboot, try Dexter: Resurrection, the newest iteration of the Dexter franchise where our vigilante serial killer returns from the dead.

New Movies & Shows To Stream This Weekend: Love Island: Beyond The Villa, Dexter: Resurrection, Foundation + More

If you’ve been wondering what Love Island USA stars like JaNa, Leah, Serena and Kaylor have been up to since last year, you’re in luck. Love Island: Beyond The Villa, which premieres Sunday on Peacock, catches us up with all of our favorite stars. Over on Paramount+, we can catch up with another old favorite, Dexter Morgan, The Bay Harbor Butcher himself. Michael C. Hall returns in Dexter: Resurrection, even after we all thought he met the same fate as all of his victims. And on Apple TV+, tune in for season 3 of Foundation; the show’s previous season made it on Decider’s Top Shows of 2023 list, and we can’t wait to see what’s cooking this season.

Season 7 of Love Island USA comes to an end this weekend, but there’s still more Love Island to tune into this summer. Love Island: Beyond the Villa, which premieres on Sunday, reunites viewers with several of last summer’s biggest stars from the show, now off the island and living in Los Angeles, as they navigate life, work and romance in the real world.

Dexter: Resurrection is the highly anticipated sequel to Dexter: New Blood and Dexter, and features the return of serial killer, Dexter Morgan (Michael C. Hall), who is not dead, as we all assumed he was. The show picks up after Dexter was seemingly fatally shot by his son, Harrison (Jack Alcott), surprised to find that he is alive, and now ready to begin a new chapter in his life. The two-episode premiere is this Friday, July 11.

New on Apple TV+: Foundation (Season 3)

Apple TV+’s futuristic sci-fi series Foundation is back for season 3 this Friday. The show, based on the stories of Isaac Asimov, stars Jared Harris, Lee Pace and Lou Llobell as citizens trying to reform society after the fall of the galactic empire they once lives under. This season, set 152 years after the second season, sees the arrival of a warlord known as “The Mule”who threatens everything that has been built. The new season marks the arrival of new cast including Cherry Jones, Brandon P. Bell, Synnøve Karlsen, Cody Fern, and Academy Award winner Troy Kotsur.
