Steph Curry is still in the throes of his legendary NBA career, but Amazon Prime Video appears to be angling to bring the superstar on as an analyst once he retires.

The NBA announced Thursday that Amazon had hired the elder Curry as part of its roster of broadcasters for next season.

Dell Curry, who enjoyed a 16-year NBA career and is the Hornets’ second all-time leading scorer, has spent the last decade as a color commentator in Charlotte’s broadcast booth.

Next season, Dell will join Stan Van Gundy and Brent Barry as game analysts.

Those three will work alongside the play-by-play quartet of Kevin Harlan, Michael Grady, Ian Eagle and Eric Collins, and the sideline reporting trio of Cassidy Hubbarth, Allie Clifton and Kristina Pink.

Amazon purchased the rights to broadcast the NBA as part of an 11-year, $76 billion deal between the league, Amazon, NBC and Disney.

CNBC reported that Amazon would be paying $1.8 billion each year for its share of the rights.

Curry, 37, has not announced any plans to retire, but he has hinted at his interest in getting into broadcasting after he calls it a career.

The four-time NBA champion told CNBC in early June that he would “for sure” consider a post-playing career behind the mic, although he’d want to “be more patient” than someone like Tom Brady, who jumped into the Fox broadcast booth after his retirement from the NFL.

“I think about what would be the right opportunity for me, ’cause anything that I do, I want to be all in on it,” Curry said. “Right now, just doing your homework on the different pathways and options that might be available.”

For now, though, Curry is focused on the upcoming season with the Warriors, who will look to contend in the always-difficult Western Conference.

Let’s be honest—no matter how stressful the day gets, a good viral video can instantly lift your mood. Whether it’s a funny pet doing something silly, a heartwarming moment between strangers, or a wild dance challenge, viral videos are what keep the internet fun and alive.
