‘I laughed at how stupid it was’

Jeffrey Epstein’s brother said he “laughed at how stupid it was” for the feds to suddenly rule out the possibility his pedophile brother’s jail death was anything but a suicide.

“Every time they say something or do something to try to quash the fact that he was most likely murdered, they just put their foot further down their mouths,” Mark Epstein told NewsNation host Chris Cuomo on Tuesday night.

He highlighted how FBI Director Kash Patel “listed his credentials as a prosecutor” when he “said, ‘You know a suicide when you see it.’”

“You know, that’s basically what he said,” Epstein said dismissively.

Mark Epstein noted how Patel is not a forensic pathologist nor has a medical degree, and questioned if he even had “a Boy Scout merit badge for first aid” to confirm his brother killed himself in his Manhattan lockup in 2019.

He noted two medical examiners involved in autopsies for his brother — Dr. Kristin Roman and Dr. Michael Baden — who were unable to give firm rulings. The brother suggested it pointed more to homicide than suicide.

“Was Kash Patel in that autopsy room? No. Was Kash Patel in the prison when they found Jeffrey? No, I don’t think so — and if he was there that raises an even bigger question,” Mark Epstein said.

“When Kash Patel came out with that statement, I laughed at how stupid it was,” he added.

The Department of Justice stated in a memo this week that there was no evidence the notorious sex predator was killed by someone else while in a Manhattan prison — which Patel has publicly stated for weeks, including at a Senate hearing in May.

The investigation also confirmed that there was no evidence that Jeffrey Epstein kept a “client list” — despite claims by Attorney General Pam Bondi who said in February that she had the client list “sitting on my desk right now to review.“
