“I think I have a friend forever in Liam, and we definitely have a connection that is very sincere, very loving, and he’s a good guy,” Anderson, 58, told Entertainment Weekly for its digital cover published on Tuesday.

She went on to describe the “Taken” star, 73, as a “true artist” and compared his acting in “over a hundred films” to her own professional career.

“He comes from theater and ‘Schindler’s List’ and has done over a hundred films. And I did things inside out and backwards, came from television, and then my personal life kind of overshadowed my professional life,” the “Baywatch” alum noted.

“It is funny,” she added. “We all come to this place in different ways, but to be able to share this experience with him is very meaningful and such an honor.”

The Akiva Schaffer-directed “Naked Gun” reboot releases August 1 and sees Neeson star as Los Angeles Police Squad detective Frank Drebin Jr. – the son of the character made famous by Leslie Nielsen in 1988’s “The Naked Gun: From the Files of Police Squad!,” 1991’s “The Naked Gun 2 1/2: The Smell of Fear” and 1994’s “Naked Gun 33 1/3: The Final Insult.”

Anderson portrays the femme fatale Beth, a character who echoes the role held by Priscilla Presley in the original films.

“I wanted to bring to the character some vulnerability and sincerity,” Anderson said. “It’s really easy to play way over the top, and it’s good to have some groundedness when there’s this comedy happening. So that was a challenge.”

“You have to kind of jump off the deep end together,” she added. “We’re going to be silly, but you also have to remain a true character. So it’s a dance.”

Meanwhile, Neeson admitted that he was a little hesitant to join the Seth MacFarlane and Erica Huggins-produced “Naked Gun” reboot because he didn’t think he was funny enough to do the late legend justice.

Nielsen passed away in November 2010 from pneumonia. He was 84.

“Not because I think I’m funny – far from it – but I did enjoy those Leslie Nielsen films a lot,” the “Star Wars” actor said.

“I thought, can I pull this off?” he questioned. “The fact that it was Seth’s idea, I thought, well, maybe he sees something in me.”

However, MacFarlane never doubted Neeson’s portrayal of Frank Drebin Jr. for a moment.

“Liam Neeson is probably the only actor alive in the 21st century who could do what Leslie Nielsen did, largely because that kind of actor is not something that we’re really generating a lot of in Hollywood anymore,” the “Family Guy” creator explained.

“[He’s] larger than life on screen and yet so honest, two things that don’t always mesh, but he’s really able to be that kind of an on-camera powerhouse.”

Anderson previously teased her and Neeson’s “electric” chemistry with EW in May.

He even quipped that he was “madly in love” with Anderson while chatting with People in October.

“She’s just terrific to work with,” he gushed at the time. “I can’t compliment her enough. I’ll be honest with you.”

Let’s be honest—no matter how stressful the day gets, a good viral video can instantly lift your mood. Whether it’s a funny pet doing something silly, a heartwarming moment between strangers, or a wild dance challenge, viral videos are what keep the internet fun and alive.
