A Nigerian man who allegedly stole an iPhone 14 Pro Max from a boutique in Abuja while the store owner and sales representative were asleep has been apprehended.
The incident was shared on a popular social media platform, X (formerly Twitter), accompanied by CCTV footage from the store.
In the video, the man is seen walking into the boutique and noticing that both the owner and the sales rep were asleep.
Instead of waking them, he quietly looked around, walked behind a table where a phone was charging, and stole it. He then proceeded to steal another phone before leaving the store unnoticed.
Unaware that he was being recorded, the man calmly exited the boutique. The CCTV footage later surfaced online and quickly went viral.
Days after the video spread, the suspect was apprehended and seen in a follow-up video sitting on the floor, presumably after being caught.
The incident sparked mixed reactions online as many users took to the comment section to express their thoughts on the matter.
