$2B Powerball winner Edwin Castro spotted cruising LA in vintage VW



The winner of the largest Powerball jackpot in US history was spotted cruising Los Angeles in a vintage VW minibus that would make the Flower Children proud.

Edwin Castro, who won the historic $2.04 billion prize back in 2022, looked straight out of the ’70s driving the 1958 Volkswagen Kombi Type 2 Double Cab along Sunset Boulevard on Sunday.

Castro has previously been seen rolling around town in an array of classic cars, from vintage Porsches to other retro Volkswagens.

After winning the record amount a little over three years ago, Castro opted for the $998 million lump-sum payout and took home about $628 million after taxes.

He bought at least three separate homes, all in the Los Angeles area, amassing a $76 million real estate portfolio. They include a $25.5 million estate in the Hollywood Hills, a $4 million Japanese-style pad in Altadena for his parents, and a $47 million mansion in Bel Air, The Post previously reported.
