Minnesota BLM leader brags about helping to organize church protest and compares them to Jesus

A Minnesota Black Lives Matter leader has bragged about helping lead the anti-ICE protesters who stormed a local church, claiming that interrupting Sunday service is what Jesus would have done.

Chauntyll Allen, leader of Black Lives Matter Twin Cities, proudly told TMZ that she played a key role in rallying protesters to storm the Cities Church in St. Paul during Sunday Service over their belief that a pastor was also working as an Immigration and Customs Enforcement [ICE] official.

Allen claimed the protest, which is under federal investigation, “needed to be done to get the message across.”

“You have these people in our community just really … terrorizing our children and our women and our different immigrant communities,” the BLM leader claimed of federal agents.

“And then we have the head of this whole operation standing in a pulpit, preaching to a congregation every Sunday morning,” she claimed. “And that was really just not OK for us.”

Allen, who said her mom was a pastor, boldly compared their actions to Jesus’ cleansing of the temple.

“I grew up in the church and one of the things that I remember about Jesus Christ is that when things weren’t going right in the church, he went in and he flipped tables,” she said, suggesting that’s what they did.

Dozens of protesters — with frequently fired indie reporter Don Lemon covering their every step — stormed the church on Sunday just as service was starting and called out resident pastor David Eastwood for allegedly moonlighting as the acting field office director for ICE in Minnesota. 

Eastood was not at the church at the time, and officials have yet to confirm that the pastor is the same David Eastwood as works for ICE. However, the pastor’s personal information appears to match that of the acting director of the ICE St. Paul field office in court filings, according to ABC News.

The Department of Justice announced Monday it is investigating the church protest.

President Trump on Tuesday labeled them “highly trained” professional “agitators and insurrectionists.”

“They are troublemakers who should be thrown in jail, or thrown out of the Country,” he wrote on Truth Social.
