Michael Kay’s beef with former co-host Peter Rosenberg turns ugly
Throw away all of those good times and laughs – Michael Kay is done.
The voice of the Yankees fired off a wild text message to his former ESPN Radio co-host Peter Rosenberg, which included telling him, “you’re dead to me,” Rosenberg revealed on “Don, Hahn & Rosenberg” this week.

The apparent issue between the two, according to fellow co-host Don La Greca, is because of a compliment Rosenberg gave someone else, which Kay took issue with.

“He’s mad at Peter because Peter doesn’t think he’s the best at something. He didn’t disrespect him,” La Greca said of Kay’s gripe. “You didn’t make him the best. That’s ridiculous.”
Rosenberg told Joe Tessitore that he’s a fantastic facilitator from a media perspective, while on his “Cheap Heat” wrestling podcast.
“He is the best point guard that I’ve maybe ever worked with,” Rosenberg said of Tessitore, adding that wrestling is now impossible to imagine without him. “He empowers me and Big E so much, and like, man, he’s flawless. The guy’s constantly flawless.”

Tessitore has long called college football and boxing, and was briefly the play-by-play man on “Monday Night Football.”
Kay was on ESPN airwaves with Rosenberg and La Greca from 2015 until Kay went on his own in 2024.
“Michael is the bride at every wedding and the corpse at every funeral,” Rosenberg added of his former host. “Everything has to be Michael!”
This comes as Kay complained on his show earlier in January that his off-air relationship with Rosenberg had dissipated since they went their separate ways.
Kay will continue to be the voice of the Yankees, as he signed a multi-year extension with YES Network in March 2023.
