George Kittle’s wife shares heartbreaking video of 49ers star’s devastating injury

Claire Kittle didn’t cut the cameras when her husband, 49ers tight end George Kittle, tore his Achilles in the San Francisco’s eventual 23-19 wild-card victory in Philadelphia Sunday night.
Claire, one half of the “Wife’d Up Mic’d Up” digital series — which follows her and Kristin Juszczyk’s game-day adventures — said, “get up” repeatedly after the All-Pro was pushed out of bounds on a 6-yard reception and immediately grabbed his leg in the second quarter.

“F–k!” Claire yelled from a suite at Lincoln Financial Field after the camera focused on her staring at the field for a few minutes. “Oh God.”
Kristin, wife of fullback Kyle Juszczyk, asked, “Is this turf or grass?” to which someone replied, “grass.”
She hugged Claire and said she was “so sorry” for the injury.
“It’s so f–king f–ked up,” Claire said. “What is that, a year [recovery]? It’s all next year too, ugh.
“It doesn’t make any f–king sense.”
George, 32, was carted off the field and hobbled on one leg into the locker room and was ruled out for the rest of the game.
Claire stayed in the locker room with George for the remainder of the game. George had a bottle of tequila delivered to the locker room at his request.
“Not a good feeling,” Kristin said. “Really so heartbroken in this suite because George went down. It’s just the worst thing in the world. We love George like family.
“It’s nothing to even do with the game. It’s that you hate seeing somebody you love and be injured. It brings me to tears. I’ll get choked up talking about it. So hopefully we can win this game for George.”
Kristin FaceTimed Claire in the second half while sitting with running back Christian McCaffrey’s wife, Olivia Culpo.
“Let’s go Christian and Juice! You guys are f–king balling,” Claire said.
Kristin and Claire addressed the injury at the end of episode.
“It’s not looking good,” Claire said. “It really sucks. A little bit in disbelief I think until he gets an MRI. He’s in good spirits. He’s a happy boy like he always is, and he was in there celebrating with them all. It was sweet. He’ll be back and better than ever… He’s a rockstar and he’s the best in the world.”
Claire and George kissed as his ankle was in a boot on a bus ride to a private plane.
“See you guys next year,” he said while boarding the plane on crutches.
Claire shared a clip of the episode on her Instagram Story Thursday, writing, “this was an emotional one to watch over again.”
